Brand New Album - the Riviera II

We now have a great new designer album that we are offering to brides, grooms, and parents: the Riviera II. Its a modern style, flush mounted album - similar to some of our current albums. The main difference is that the cover is one large wrap-around image. This enables us to print anything on the cover that we want - and gives us endless possibilities to be creative!

Photographs, textures, patterns, text, or any combination of these that a bride desires can be designed and printed as a cover. We are very excited about this option, and we think that our brides will love it as well! However, we will continue to offer all of our current albums to those who prefer them.

I will be designing more example album covers for the Riviera II in the next few days and posting them on the blog.

Converting Photos to Paintings

We have been experimenting with software that enables us to digitally convert photographs to resemble oil paintings. Unlike a photoshop plugin, this software actually requires us to manually replicate every brush stroke. It can be very time consuming, but the results are fantastic. Below in an example of an image before the conversion:
And here is the image after conversion: Its hard to appreciate the detail of the brushstrokes in such a small web image, so here is a closeup to give you a better idea of what a final product looks like:

Something like this can also be printed on real artist's canvas, giving an even more authentic painted portrait look.
